This weekends Libra full moon and Aries axis is centered around the duality and collaboration of the self and the other. The "me" and the "we" of it all. As we look out into the world, we don't have to look very far for evidence that demonstrates where humanity and the planet is in opposition and woefully out of balance in these themes. We are in dire need of unity and care.

The arena of our relationships is one of our greatest goldmines for identifying and gaining insights around our patterns of behavior and our own intrinsic needs. Our closest relationships will often reflect back to us our misalignments in real time and where we need to awaken, tend, heal and grow certain aspects of ourselves.

By paying attention to how we show up in our connections with others, we can make significant inroads into navigating the concepts and integrations of trust, deep listening, compassion, courage, authenticity, vulnerability, to name a few. Much needed relationship skills of our times.

The relationship you have with yourself is the gold standard for the relationships you have with others and with all of life. We would all hope to have at least one beautiful bond that truly welcomes, affirms and uplifts us. Associations that are performative, transactional, or one-sided in nature make for tenuous bonds. And judgement, To listen to, embrace and show up for your own precious heart is to say "yes" to experiencing the very best of yourself. dishonesty, manipulation and neglect can act as energetic wounds in the heart field of our connections.

When you invest in exploring, tending and expanding the interior Self; the richer and more fulfilling your relationships with others and life becomes. The inner begins to reflect the outer and vice versa.

We have little, to no control over what others ultimately choose, but absolute agency over how we respond, how we show up and what we choose for ourselves.

Getting curious about yourself, exploring your interests, unpacking your stories, identifying your needs and core values, taking responsibility for your hopes and dreams, your healing and your truth is radical self-love in action. Any and all measure of attention and investment not only serves and elevates every aspect of your own life, but also pays dividends in forming authentic unions with others.

To know who you are, and to be the living truth of that is the work of a lifetime. To listen to, embrace and show up for your own precious heart is to say "yes" to experiencing the very best of yourself. And, a better you, makes for a better everything you are and do, which makes for a better world for us all.

With such big Love to your luminous heart,

Jo xx

Rose Water Rx.

Rose medicine is a potent, majestic and profoundly wise guide. This heart-centering ritual is a remedy for all matters of the heart. Reach for it anytime you’re inspired to reclaim, heal, harmonize and flourish.

You will need:

Rose Petals (ideally fresh and free of pesticides, or food grade dried petals).

2 cups fresh or ½ cup dried.

Sharpie and a strip of masking tape.

Fresh cold water (ideally filtered or distilled).

Quart size glass mason jar with lid (washed and thoroughly rinsed).

On your masking tape, write the word “SOFTEN” and affix to the outside of your jar.

Place your petals into the jar and slowly pour your water.

Whisper your intentions for softening, ask for blessings and upliftment as you intentionally fill your jar with the water.

Secure lid and leave to infuse overnight (place outdoors under moonlight for extra magic).

In the morning, strain out the petals and drink half of your rose water.

With each sip follow the tonic all the way to your heart. Breath in the perfume of your Venusian rose infusion and in your minds’ eye, imagine how a devotional practice of softening and centering the heart can support your physical, energetic, and emotional layers and life; gently unfolding and embodying a new way of being.

Repeat the process with the remaining water in the evening as you prepare for sleep.

Affirmation:

“My softness is my strength”.
